Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Weekly Report: Week Ending August 18

LINCOLN COUNTY – Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 40 traffic stops last week.  There were 33 security checks. Deputies responded to 4 calls involving cars hitting deer. Deputies followed up on 9 calls for unsafe driving.

On Sunday August 18, deputies were dispatched to an address on Short Rd in the Town of Bradley regarding a report of a man threatening the individual who made the report. The reporting person said the suspect came to his door and was pounding on it hard enough to rattle the house. Upon investigating the situation, the person said he saw a 64-year-old Tomahawk man holding onto what appeared to be a handgun, which he was allegedly pointing in his direction, so he returned to his house for safety.

Upon arriving at the scene, the first deputy who responded located an individual who matched the description of the suspect. Upon questioning the individual, it was found that he had an ongoing neighborhood dispute with the reporting person over alleged reckless driving issues. No handgun was found during the investigation, but the detained suspect appeared to be intoxicated. He was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct and transported to the Lincoln County Jail.
